Eagle Bank
The student-run bank at the heart of AMCS's MicroSociety — where every child learns to earn, save, and spend.
About AMCS
Atlantic Montessori is a tuition-free public charter school in Davie, Florida, serving VPK through fifth grade. We follow the Montessori method — hands-on, student-led, and built around each child's natural curiosity — and we're proud to be Broward County's first MicroSociety school.
About MicroSociety
In our MicroSociety, the school becomes a mini world. Students hold real jobs, run businesses, serve in student government, make laws, and vote. They earn Eagle Bucks for their work and learn that their effort and choices have real consequences — building confidence, responsibility, leadership, and financial literacy that last long after the school day ends.

What is the Eagle Bank?
Eagle Bank is the student-run bank at the center of Atlantic Montessori's MicroSociety. Every student — from our four- and five-year-olds in VPK through fifth grade — has a real bank account where they deposit the Eagle Bucks they earn, save for things they want, and spend at our student marketplace. It's how AMCS turns everyday classroom life into hands-on lessons in earning, saving, budgeting, and responsibility.
How Eagle Bank Works
Every student has a bank account and a printed bank card.
Students earn paychecks (Eagle Bucks) for classroom jobs and responsibilities.
They deposit earnings, withdraw cash, and save for things they want.
They spend at the student marketplace — and learn to budget and track their balance.
Through our partnership with the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and EdFed, classroom banking connects to the real world of finance.
Two Portals for Eagle Bank
Student & Parent Portal
One login for both students and parents — the 3-digit code on the bank card plus the 4-digit PIN created with parents. That's the only way in.
- Students — deposit a paycheck and check their balance.
- Parents — view their child's balance and spending.
Staff, Admin & Teachers (Internal)
Staff sign in with their school account. Teachers and admins have different access — and everyone on this side can run the POS register to charge students.
- Teachers — upload the roster, issue paychecks, process transactions, and charge at the POS.
- Support Staff — run the POS register and process transactions.
- Administrators — assign roles, approve, run reports, review the audit log — and use the POS too.
How Staff Charge Students (POS Register)
The Point-of-Sale (POS) register is the separate screen teachers, support staff, and administrators use to charge students at the student marketplace. It's a dedicated access — staff sign in with their school account, open the register, and every charge posts to the student's account instantly.
Sign in & open the register
Staff sign in at the Employee Portal and open the POS Register (or go straight to /eagle-bank/pos).
Find the student
Scan the student's bank card with the camera, or search by name, username, or account number.
Ring up the purchase
Tap a marketplace item (Principal for a Day, Treasure Box, Pencil…) or enter a custom amount and reason.
Done — instantly
The Eagle Bucks are deducted on the spot and the new balance appears. Families see it in their portal history.
The same register lets staff add a Good Deed Bonus or record an office cash deposit — both credit the student right away.
