Eagle Bank
Parent & Student Guide
How to deposit a paycheck, pay rent and utilities, check your balance, and see your spending.
Eagle Bank is the student-run bank at the center of Atlantic Montessori's MicroSociety — Broward County's first. Through the MicroSociety program, students from VPK (our four- and five-year-olds) through fifth grade earn Eagle Bucks for classroom jobs and good behavior, then spend them at the student marketplace. Students and parents share one portal to check the balance, deposit a paycheck, pay Eagle City rent and utilities, and see exactly what the money is being spent on. Payday is the 15th and 30th of every month.
Payday Schedule
Students are paid their Eagle Bucks paycheck on the 15th and 30th of every month. You'll see the deposit appear in the account history on those days — no email is sent, so just log in to check.
Your 3-Digit Code & 4-Digit PIN
Your child's teacher creates the bank account and gives your child a bank card printed with a 3-digit code. Together with you, your child creates a secret 4-digit PIN. That's the only way into the portal — there's no email or password, and parents don't create the account themselves.
- The 3-digit code is printed on your child's bank card (for example, 042).
- The 4-digit PIN is a secret number you and your child choose — keep it private, like a bank card PIN.
Students and parents use the same 3-digit code + 4-digit PIN to log in. Lost your code or PIN? Just ask the teacher — they can look it up or print a new one.
Log In to the Portal
1. Open Academics → Eagle Bank → Student & Parent Portal (or go to /student-portal).
2. Enter your 3-digit code and 4-digit PIN and click View My Account. You'll see the account right away.
Don't have a code yet? Use the Create your code & PIN link on the portal to set one up with your parent.
If you see "Invalid code or PIN," double-check with the teacher that you have the right details.
Viewing the Balance
Once logged in, you'll see the account card showing:
- Student name, grade, and homeroom teacher
- Account number
- Current Balance — total Eagle Bucks available
- Account status (Active)
Depositing a Paycheck (Parents and Students)
Parents and students can deposit a physical paycheck right from the Parent Portal or Student Portal:
1. Open the Deposit a Paycheck section.
2. Enter the amount on the check and upload a photo of the check.
3. Click Submit. The deposit shows as Pending until a teacher approves it — then the Eagle Bucks appear in the balance.
Students should complete the deposit with a parent or guardian. Keep the original paycheck until the deposit shows as approved.
Paying Rent & Utilities
After the paycheck deposit is approved and the balance is available:
1. Find October Rent & Utilities in the Eagle Bank Portal.
2. Review the bill: E$30 rent + E$20 utilities = E$50.
3. Select Pay E$50 Now and confirm the payment.
4. The E$50 is deducted immediately and recorded in the Transaction History. The button changes to Paid, and the same bill cannot be paid twice.
October payment is due by October 7, 2026. The payment button is unavailable until the approved account balance is at least E$50.
Understanding the Transaction History
The Transaction History shows every transaction on the account, newest first — so you can see exactly what your child is spending their money on:
- Green amounts (+) — Money IN: deposits, paychecks, and good-deed bonuses
- Red amounts (−) — Money OUT: purchases, withdrawals, fines, and taxes
- Balance column — the account balance after each transaction
- By column — who entered the transaction
- Status — Approved, Pending, or Reversed
Purchases at the school marketplace (for example "Treasure Box Item" or "Principal for a Day") show up here with their name and price.
Family Account Access
Family accounts have limited self-service access. This means:
- You can see balances and the full transaction history ✓
- You can submit the student paycheck and use the fixed Pay Rent & Utilities button ✓
- You cannot enter custom withdrawals, purchases, fines, or account adjustments ✗
No emails are sent when students are paid — checking the portal is how you stay informed. If you believe a transaction is incorrect, contact your child's homeroom teacher. Only teachers and administrators can process, approve, or reverse transactions.
Getting Help
- Can't log in or forgot your PIN? Tap "Forgot your PIN? Alert your teacher" on the portal and enter your 3-digit code and contact info. Your teacher will reach out with your PIN the next day — only teachers can reset a PIN.
- Question about a transaction? Contact your child's homeroom teacher.
- System not working? Contact the school administrator.
